OpenAI, Oracle and Vantage Data Centers are teaming up on a new Stargate data center campus in Wisconsin.
Located in Port Washington just outside of Milwaukee, the new hyperscale facility will host almost a gigawatt of AI capability across four data centers. The site is part of OpenAI and Oracle’s plan to build 4.5 GW of Stargate capacity throughout the country.
The $15 billion investment from Vantage plans to support the local community and environment.
The campus will include 100% matched zero-emission energy and water-positive efficient closed-loop liquid cooling. It will also provide over 4,000 construction jobs and 1,000 permanent jobs for the people of Wisconsin.
In total, the project is expected to bring in $2.7 billion worth of GDP into the region.
